In the land of sushi, bonsai, technological innovation, and diverse philosophies, people love the Honda Fit. Proving it's more than able to hold its own among the competition, it overtook the popular Toyota Prius gasoline-electric hybrid as Japan's top-selling car in January 2011.

Honda recently reported that, January 2011 sales surged nearly 14 percent from January 2010, to 14,873 vehicles - about half of them hybrids. "It's better to be No. 1," says Takanobu Ito, President, Honda. "My priority is that all our models record solid sales."1

Unlike the Prius, whose sales were impacted by the ending of most government-backed incentives in September, Honda Fit sales are only growing stronger. And, is it any surprise? We at DCH Honda of Temecula - 26755 Ynez Road - Temecula, CA 92591 - don't think so. After all, the Honda Fit has recently been remodeled, is available in both gas-electric and conventional gas-engine models, and is significantly less expensive. The Honda Fit Hybrid, is in fact, currently the most reasonable hybrid available in the Japanese market.

Drivers in Europe are undoubtedly excited for the Honda Fit Hybrid to hit their shores later this year. It is not, however, currently slated to hit U.S. shores. For now, we'll have to make do with the conventional Honda Fit…which by the way, still offers superior fuel economy.
