So you found the mid-size car of your dreams, the Honda Civic. We at DCH Honda of Temecula love it ourselves, and we're not alone in that feeling. KBB.com named the Civic as one of the "10 Coolest New Cars Under $18,000 of 2013" and was on its "Best Resale Value: Top 10" list for both the coupe and sedan. Actually, Edmunds.com also gave the Civic the "Best Retained Value® Sedan $20K-$30K" as well as "Best Retained Value® Coupe under $25K. Honestly, the lists of accolades stretches on.
Guess what? We have another to add to the list. The Civic rightfully earned a Top Safety Pick+ rating after it passed the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) tests with ratings of "GOOD" for the small overlap frontal crash test. This is the highest rating a vehicle can achieve in this evaluation.
"I think every compact car shopper should view the results of the new IIHS small overlap front crash tests before deciding on a new car," says Mike Accavitti, senior vice president of auto operations at American Honda Motor Co., Inc.1 The small overlap front crash test is the newest of the tests, and it takes a tough vehicle to achieve high ratings. We couldn't agree more with Mr. Accavitti's suggestion.
If you could see the tests for our models, we imagine you'd be quite pleased. To give you an idea, the Honda Accord (both coupe and sedan) also achieved Top Safety Pick+ status, the others such as the Fit and CR-V received Top Safety Pick ratings:
Take your pick here in the Temecula, CA showroom. It would be our pleasure to introduce you to all of our models, arrange a test drive and hand you the keys to vehicle that matches your needs.
