If you're wondering what happened to the limited edition Honda Factory Performance package (HFP) that came out at the 2012 SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) Show in Las Vegas, we here at DCH Honda of Temecula are here to tell you it's back and ready to be fitted to the Honda Accord Coupe for action.
The package is suited for the Accord with a V6 under the hood, and it's available at select dealerships and its packed with advanced Honda parts that will take the Accord experience up a notch. The package includes a decklid spoiler, 19-inch HFP alloy wheels, HFP sport suspension, HFP floor mats, HFP badges, side and rear spoilers, and red illumination inside. With the Honda Factory Performance package, Accord operators will steer with authority and confidence only a new Honda model can provide for drivers.
"The new Accord Coupe V6 is already a natural on twisty roads, but the HFP package really takes it to a new level," Lee Niffenegger, program senior engineer at Honda Performance Development, says. "With a lowered ride height, sport suspension and more performance-oriented tires, the HFP kit definitely provides more controlled body motions and enhanced stability."
The package, of which there are currently 500 examples, has a three-year/36,000-mile limited warranty and is priced at $4,620.
