Honda made the dreams of one automotive fan come true recently as they unveiled a one-of-a-kind 2014 Honda Civic model at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show. Why exactly did that make on Honda's fans dreams come true? Well, it was because the model was designed by a fan, in the immersive Forza Motorsports video game. Yes indeed, Honda teamed up with Forza Motorsports for the Civic SI Design Contest, unveiling the winner which gained over 20,000 votes at the annual motor show. The Civic model, which featured a number of aerodynamic body alterations and also an amazing custom paint job, was the very first model ever to be brought to life in reality that was first designed in a video game.


"At Honda, we love meeting our customers where their passion lies, and the racing and custom car design in Forza Motorsport is definitely a passion for so many Honda and Civic enthusiasts," said Tom Peyton, assistant vice president of advertising with American Honda Motor Co., Inc. "Taking an immersive gaming experience like Forza and bringing it to life here at the Chicago Auto Show will make for an exciting exhibition and a real-life demonstration of how cars and gaming are increasingly intertwined.
