Readers, how did you spend New Year's Day?  If you're like many of us here at DCH Honda of Temecula, then you settled into your couch with a big mug of coffee and watched the 125th Rose Parade.  Honda was proud to be the official supporter of this year's event, and the automaker actually set a new record at the parade, which is a long-running and much loved tradition.

Every year, the Pasadena Tournament of Roses holds the Rose Parade and Rose Bowl Game.  This year's event has the theme of "Keeping Dreams on Track," which is the perfect mantra for an event that is presented by the Japanese automaker.

"Keeping Dreams on Track is an embodiment of Honda's deeply rooted philosophy," says Stephan Morikawa, assistant vice president of American Honda Corporate Community Relations, "The Power of Dreams, as well as Honda's passion toward following those dreams to guide and inspire us to make a difference."1

Besides being the official presenter of the parade, Honda had a very big presence at the event, as its "Keeping Dreams on Track" Float was the longest that has ever participated in the New Year's Day celebration, coming in at an impressive 274 feet.

The record was held by Honda's 2005 Rose Parade float entry, which measured 207 feet in length.  The brand is obviously always trying to outdo itself, which is evident with each new round of new cars that you can find here at our Temecula, CA dealership.

What did you think about the float?  Let us know in the comments section below!
