Today, Honda announced record sales for the month of February. Building on the momentum of a record-setting January, the automaker ended the second month by setting a new benchmark of 106,212 deliveries, an increase of 14.9 percent over February of 2015.

Leading the way was the 2016 Civic Sedan, which saw sales of more than 27,700 units; up nearly 32 percent over last year, and a February record for the model. A coupe version, due to go on sale next week, will provide increased momentum for the already fast moving model. CR-V followed closely behind, selling 25,785 units, an increase of 13.2 percent. With deliveries of 8,994 models, Odyssey also saw double-digit sales gains for the month, increasing 11.4 percent over February of last year.

"Led by the all-new Civic, Honda cars are defying industry trends, even as our light truck models are red hot this winter," said Jeff Conrad, senior vice president and general manager of the Honda Division. "With more versions of the Civic yet to go on sale and an all-new Ridgeline on the way, Honda is primed for an incredibly strong start to the year."
