As stunned as we were by the looks of the Honda Civic Hatchback Concept at this past year’s New York Auto Show, we knew that the brand would deliver on a production model that looked just as good. And that they have. Unveiled for the press—and soon to have its global debut in Paris—the Civic five-door is aggressive, handsome, and sporty. But that’s not all.
Like its sedan kinsman, the Civic hatch rides on the agile new platform that Honda developed for its global compact product. This means, ostensibly, that the five door will be just as much fun to drive as its four-door counterpart, especially considering the high-level 1.5-liter turbo comes standard on the hatchback. Drivers on the lower three trims can get this mill in 174 horsepower, while the higher three trims get 180 horsepower.
