You probably learned how to replace a flat tire when you were younger. If it's been a few years since you learned and you're not familiar with the process, DCH Honda of Temecula would like to run through the steps that you take to replace a flat. You'll be back on the roads of Temecula in no time.
- You want to make sure that your vehicle is safe while you're changing its tire, so park your vehicle away from traffic and on a flat surface.
- Pop off the hub cap, and loosen all of the lug nuts. Don't take them off completely just yet.
- Use a jack to raise your vehicle off the ground on that side.
- Turning counterclockwise will remove your lug nuts the rest of the way.
- Take the flat tire off the vehicle, replacing it with a spare tire.
- Hand-tighten the lug nuts back on.
- Once you've lowered your automobile back down to ground level, tighten the lug nuts completely.
